Close to Naturenow Cat Litter earns the Naturally Savvy Seal of Approval

http://www.naturallysavvy.com/savvy-reviews/close-to-naturenow-cat-litter.  Below is the FULL review:

Clay cat litters from the grocery store often have added chemicals, are rough on small paws and create dust that can lead to breathing problems for poor Snowball and Fluffy. If ingested, the effects of the clay can even be quite harmful to kitty's digestive system. We at Naturally Savvy have found the solution to the clay kitty litter problem.

Close to Naturenow Cat Litter is made from soybean meal and potato starch. That's it. Naturenow gives the pet lover a more natural choice when choosing a kitty litter for their fuzzy family members. Our pets give it two paws up and we think yours will too.

Naturenow is the only cat litter on the market that contains soybean meal as the base for the litter. The added potato starch allows for the littler to clump better. Having no added chemicals or fragrances makes this litter biodegradable and flushable. The makers of Close to Naturenow Cat Litter even suggest that after the litter is sifted it can be used in your backyard compost. It's no wonder the pet magazine Cat Fancy loved the litter so much that they gave it a certificate of achievement.

Close to Naturenow Cat Litter is a product that is part of The Organic Farm Store, an organization that deals strictly with pet care and organic fertilizers for lawns, trees, flowers and soil. Established in 1998 by president Scott DeWaids, The Organic Farm Store prides itself on delivering the highest quality and most effective organic products that are a positive influence to people, pets and the planet.

Our pets put Close to Naturenow Cat Litter to the test for two and a half weeks. We were surprised at how well it actually worked. There was little to no smell from inside the litter box. The litter is soft and granulated (it feels similar to millet). It clumped reasonably well but best of all, it was flushable, making it a perfect pet product for those of us who live in smaller condos and apartments.

Needless to say, this is a great pet friendly product that does the job right and naturally. Close to Naturenow Cat Litter earns the Naturally Savvy Seal of Approval.

You can order Close to Naturenow Cat Litter from The Organic Farm Store in 10 or 18 lbs bags. For more information on products and ordering visit: http://www.theorganicfarmstore.com.

The review of our Close to Naturenow Cat Litter

Pet Products Review - Close To Nature Soybean Cat Litter

Wow... okay, this is a hard review for me.  I've been using the big 10 lbs sample bag and Close To Naturenow Cat Litter.  What do I think?  Gosh.... call me old fashioned, but as a cat owner I need to see blue crystals turn from bright blue to green and have the cat the cat extrement practically float to enjoy using a cat litter.  If you're like me, you probably won't love this product, it is different, very different.

Now, ask my cat. I was sure my cat Stinky was going to turn up his nose immediately like he did with Yesterday's News and Feline Pines and express anger by going outside the box.  Well, this time he did not.  In fact, he wasn't even phazed by the fact that I introduced him to a new litter.  I did so gradually just like the instructions told me.  By week 3 he was completely used to the litter.

Here is what I like:

Close to Naturenow is a great all natural, organic and environmentally safe product that is made in the USA.  I love that.  It is a cellulose litter one of the most ecologically friendly choices. Litters made from corn, wheat, beet, soy, pine, pulp, and recycled newspapers are biodegradable. The all natural biodegadability is so superior that it can even be used in compost; do remove the feces of course.

It is light weight, so no more heavy litter boxes and bags.  Now that I have a puppy in the house, I feel safe using this product.  Everyone knows how puppies like litter boxes, well now I don't have to freak out if he's near it.  And I know immediately if he has because the yellow soybean husks stick to his nose.  And speaking of noses, Close to Naturenow does a superior job of keeping odor out.  Who knew that soybeans contain natural enzymes and proteins that allow the litter to be inherently absorbent to moisture, neutralize odor and make it easy to scoop? And speaking of tracking, with exception of the few grains that occassionally end up on my puppies nose, there was no tracking at all.

What I don't like is that it does such a good job clumping, I use more.  Because the clumps may be flushed down the toilet, something you would never consider with clay or silica based litter, you clean your box more often.  Another negative, and its a silly one, the color yellow doesn't match the tiles in my bathroom.

All in all Close to Naturenow Soybean Cat Litter is a refreshing environmentally friendly product that I recommend.  If you are looking to make your home and greener home with more safe and all natural products, switching your litter to Close to Naturenow is a good start.

A 10 lbs bag is only $9.99 that is 30% less than the price of Arm & Hammer or Fresh Step.  You can order directly from the manufacturer here:

Healthy pet, healthy planet ... 2010 is gonna be a great year, so says Kitty.

We know it isn't fair to expect our animals, no matter how domesticated, to be happy about doing their business into a box -- a box that is out in the open for everyone to see, might we add -- but it is necessary.

And since scooping the pee and poo immediately after they have been dropped is not always possible, using a litter that helps cover the smell (or makes it easier to push those "unmentionables" aside) can make the difference between having a cat that dependably uses her box, or a cat that uses your bed as a toilet because she refuses to put her feet down into feces … One. More. Day.

That's where Close to Naturenow litter comes in. Made by The Organic Farm Store, a family owned and operated business located in Spokane, Washington, Close to Naturenow litter has a pleasant, natural smell, a fine texture, and uses organic soybean meal and potato starch for clumping.

Although our guest tester, Kitty, was not hell-bent on going all-natural for the litter box, she does appreciate products that works well while doing no harm to the environment.

"The soybeans and potato starch work like magic," Kitty raved. "It not only covers and neutralizes the scent, it clumps my 'unmentionables' so that my human slave can easily scoop it away."

The perfect clumping also means a lot less waste of good litter. So, while a bag of Close to Naturenow organic litter costs more than the regular stuff at your pet store, it lasts longer. In fact, Close to Naturenow cat litter lasted at least twice the time compared to the usual clay litter, for our one-cat home.

"The question is, would my human buy it again?" added Kitty. "The answer is yes -- even if I have to force her!"

Try out a bag of Close to Naturenow earth-friendly litter and see if your Kitty likes it. It may just make the world a happier, cleaner place.
